Storing cooling when conditions are favorable.

On hot days, the cooling demand of data centers increases, while at the same time, conditions for cooling generation become more challenging. The Bögl air-ice storage system makes it possible to shift cooling over time: cooling can, for example, be stored during cooler nighttime hours and then used when needed.

This can relieve cooling generation during peak periods. In the first part of their article series in DataCenter-Insider, Florian Czerwek from the Max Bögl Group and Kai Hartmann from dc-ce RZ-Beratung show how this principle can be integrated into the cooling and load management of data centers.
