Safety and Health

Our employees are our greatest asset. That is why the health and safety of our employees and partners who work on our construction sites or in our production facilities is our top priority. To ensure this at all times, we have implemented the holistic occupational safety and health management system AMS BAU across the entire group. The corresponding certification can be viewed here.

With our “gear system,” we firmly integrate occupational safety measures into all processes and work steps, as well as into our employees’ awareness. The central cog—“Risk assessment”—drives the system. No activity or workplace may be carried out or operated without a risk assessment. The other cogs interact with one another through defined interfaces and connections.

To minimize hazards, we consistently prioritize the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Our facilities are divided into standardized safety zones so that our employees and partners can easily identify where specific PPE is required.

Our managers regularly conduct behavioral safety inspections. A poster titled “Team Safety Starting Point” helps us provide regular, structured on-site information about workplace safety topics and initiate discussions. This enables us to jointly identify direct improvement measures. In addition, our employees gain practical experience with significant hazardous situations during regular workplace safety weeks.

Through the “maxfit” initiative, we’ve bundled various activities and offerings designed to raise awareness and support our employees in the areas of health and fitness.
