Max Bögl's most important raw and construction materials include bulk materials and binding agents for its own concrete production, such as sand, "Gravel (broken, 2-63mm)", limestone powder and cement, as well as ready-mixed concretes, concrete products, concrete and construction steel. Together, the two materials concrete and steel account for more than half of the raw materials and materials used.

A high level of internal vertical integration enables us to produce and manufacture many of our products ourselves. However, our responsibility does not end at our factory gates when it comes to purchasing raw materials and services; we are committed to sustainable procurement.

To this end, we have developed a sustainability concept for purchasing, which defines minimum social and ecological requirements for business partners, in particular for Suppliers, Subcontractors and other service providers, and sets out measures to promote sustainable procurement. We require our suppliers to comply with our Code of Conduct, due diligence obligations in accordance with the national Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and our own value management system. Meaningful key figures are evaluated for the respective product groups and annual targets are set. In addition, further product group-specific guidelines and measures are defined in order to proactively integrate sustainability criteria into the purchasing process. When making procurement or investment decisions, we take into account not only economic but also environmental aspects, such as the environmental compatibility and energy efficiency of materials and services, as well as social concerns. This also applies to the design and procurement of systems or system components.
