The construction industry is undergoing a transformation. Economies of scale, cost pressures, quality requirements, and the completion of construction projects in record time are key competitive factors. To address these challenges, we have embarked on the path toward industrialized construction. Lean management and quality form the foundation for this transformation. To embed the lean philosophy within the company, the maxlean group was established.

For Max Bögl, Lean Management is more than just a method. The goal is to bring about a lasting change in the company’s philosophy and to create a learning organization with a Lean culture. As part of this philosophy, behavioral principles such as a culture of change, a culture of values, and a culture of learning from mistakes are established and promoted. The Lean principles serve as guidelines on our path to becoming a lean construction company. These principles are put into practice through the methods and tools that our employees use as their daily resources.

A key factor in the journey toward becoming a lean construction company is the group’s employees, as they play a vital role in driving change as experts in their respective workplaces. The maxlean Academy was founded to prepare them for the upcoming changes and equip them with the necessary knowledge. The goal is to use the four-stage training concept to equip our colleagues with the knowledge they need. They are supported through training sessions as well as on-site coaching, enabling them to become familiar with the lean culture and apply it in their daily work. The training sessions are supplemented with simulations to reinforce the theory learned through practical examples. Both the course content and the practical component are tailored to our colleagues’ areas of responsibility to facilitate the transfer of these skills into their daily work. Implementation and on-site coaching are carried out through the established Lean structure within the respective departments.

maxlean is not limited to just one area of our company. On the contrary, Lean should be understood as a holistic approach that optimizes our entire value chain. At the Max Bögl Group, we do not view lean management as a limited concept, but rather as an integral part of our overall “Progress 4.0” strategy. In this context, we consider not only production and construction sites but also logistics and administrative functions to provide our customers with the services they need.
