Direct Implementation in Our Business Practices

To reduce our greenhouse gas emissions across the entire company, we aim to use renewables wherever possible and continuously optimize our internal energy consumption.

• We operate a large number of our own renewable energy generation facilities as well as a battery storage system.
• Through intelligent generation and load control, the interaction between the various generation facilities, consumers, and storage systems is coordinated, enabling us to achieve a high level of self-sufficiency.
• Our own biomass cogeneration plants represent another component of our decentralized energy supply; among other things, they convert waste wood and wood chips into energy.
• We rely on our employees’ ideas and implement both small and large-scale measures to continuously reduce energy consumption throughout the company and increase energy efficiency. As part of our energy management system, we raise awareness of these efforts and promote the structured implementation of these measures.
