The topic of sustainability in the construction industry is becoming increasingly important. The main focus here is on concrete as a building material, which causes the main CO2 emissions due to its cement content. The Max Bögl Group has set itself the task of developing sustainable concrete formulations that already reduce CO2 emissions by up to 50% compared to conventionally used concretes by using cement substitutes.
The GreenTech Festival in Berlin focused on sustainable innovations and green T-echnologies over two days. Max Bögl presented its innovative products and solutions for sustainable construction and the production of high-performance concretes. These concretes are used in a wide range of applications - from modular building and residential construction concepts to towers for wind turbines, smart mobility solutions in Infrastructure and a self-developed, automated magnetic levitation train, the Transport System Bögl.
"We have set ourselves the goal of harmonizing ecological and economic factors in order to increase the sustainability of our products and services," says Stefan Bögl, CEO of the Max Bögl Group. "As a company, we are thus shaping an environmentally friendly future in the various areas of construction."
However, Max Bögl is not only improving its carbon footprint with concrete formulas, but also by using digital systems in all areas of the company: digitalization can be used to optimize processes in production, assembly and administration. Lean component geometries, an adapted use of resources and efficient logistics processes can reduce waste enormously.
The group of companies was able to present these diverse approaches to an interested audience at the GreenTech Festival. Among the visitors to the stand was Franziska Giffey, Berlin's Senator for Economic Affairs, and Dr. Volker Wissing, Federal Minister of Transport, to whom CEO Markus Richthammer presented the company and its products.
