Our 10C approach
Our 10C approach is a further development of the original 5C approach of the European Cement Association CEMBUREAU. While the 5C approach covers five basic key elements that are specifically tailored to the cement sector, our approach goes one step further. It takes our entire value chain into account and comprises a total of ten fields of action (10 Cs). These are tailored specifically to us and complement key areas of value creation and expertise that go beyond the concrete and cement value chain. In addition to the three basic pillars of sustainability, our approach also takes into account the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our 10C approach acts as an internal line of action and as a cross-divisional, strategic tool for defining and coordinating our sustainability goals. It is crucial that the areas of action are not viewed in isolation, but as an interconnected system in order to identify key benefits and potential through the interplay of different measures.
