Max Bögl is constructing a new production facility for the manufacture of emergency power systems for FRERK

Due to the global increase in demand for data center construction, Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH has decided to expand its main facility in Schweringen (Lower Saxony). The Max Bögl Group has been commissioned to build a modern, approximately 8,000 m² production facility for emergency power systems, and is scheduled to complete the new building by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
Uninterruptible Power Supply for Data Centers
The construction of the new facility represents the largest single investment that Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH has made in its 60-year history. The focus is on the turnkey, space-optimized execution of work for containerized emergency power and UPS systems (E-Pods), which are intended to ensure an uninterruptible power supply, particularly for data centers.
Joint Groundbreaking Ceremony for a Forward-Looking Project
The joint groundbreaking ceremony for the project took place in mid-April 2025. Johann Braun (Executive Board Member for Building Construction) and Oliver Aust (Head of the Northern Systems Construction Division) represented the Max Bögl Group at this festive occasion.
The new 7,860 m² building will house an additional 16 production stations. In addition, a two-story office wing will be attached to the new facility. Thanks to this project, not only will new manufacturing and testing capabilities be realized, but more than 60 new jobs will also be created.
