Max Bögl Meets AI – A Strong Signal for the Construction Industry’s Digital Future
May 22, 2025
Artificial intelligence is changing the world—and the Max Bögl Group is actively shaping this transformation! At its first AI symposium, themed “Max Bögl Meets AI,” the company sent a powerful signal regarding the digital transformation of the construction industry.
As one of Germany’s leading construction and technology companies, Max Bögl is also forging ahead with determination in the field of artificial intelligence, a key topic for the future. The symposium provided a high-profile platform for exchange, inspiration, and networking—with the goal of sparking enthusiasm, highlighting potential, and discussing concrete use cases.
Strong Input from Business, Academia, and Industry Associations
The event brought together around 90 participants from the construction industry, academia, and the startup scene. Following the opening remarks by CEO Stefan Bögl, keynote presentations were given on topics such as “AI as a Game-Changer in the Construction Industry” and “Change of Mindset.” In a lively panel discussion—moderated by Stephan Lüttger (Head of Lean Management at Wind AG)—representatives from the Technical University of Munich, OTH Regensburg, appliedAI, and BEFIVE discussed the concrete opportunities offered by artificial intelligence—ranging from increased efficiency and improved quality to new, data-driven business models.
A particular highlight was the startup pitch session, during which five innovative AI startups presented their solutions for the construction industry. Afterward, guests had the opportunity to learn about current developments, experience concrete use cases, and network at the AI trade show.
CEO Stefan Bögl also underscored the importance of this topic for the entire construction industry in his speech: “You are all here today to look toward the future together with us. A future in which artificial intelligence is no longer just a vision, but can and will be a living reality on our construction sites, in our plants, and in our planning processes. The future of construction is being shaped by data, digital processes, and intelligent T-echnologies. And we don’t just want to be part of this future—we want to actively help shape it!”
The Max Bögl Group sees artificial intelligence not as a risk, but as a major opportunity. An opportunity to build more efficiently, precisely, sustainably, and transparently. An opportunity to reduce the workload on people, improve processes, and conceive new business models.
The transformation has already begun, and Max Bögl is resolutely embracing this change under the slogan “Progress is built on ideas.”
The first Max Bögl AI Symposium marked an important milestone on the path to the digital future of construction. The event impressively demonstrated how AI can not only optimize processes but also open up entirely new perspectives—for companies, employees, and the entire industry.
The Max Bögl Group is thus making it clear once again: Innovation is not just a buzzword, but a living reality. The transformation has begun—and Max Bögl is actively shaping it.
