Wind energy is one of the key technologies of the energy transition. It has the potential to generate a large amount of green electricity and thus make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.

As a market and technology leader, the Max Bögl Group is setting new standards in the field of tall towers for wind turbines with its Hybrid Tower Bögl. In Germany, this concrete-and-steel tower system is in high demand among turbine manufacturers. Max Bögl has now decided to take over wind tower production at its Emden, Lower Saxony, facility to meet the industry’s increased demand. The company’s current in-house production capacity is thus 600 towers per year.

In the fall of 2023, Bettels Betonfertigteile began production of the Hybrid Tower Bögl at its Emden facility. Following the ramp-up phase, Max Bögl has now decided to take over production. With the new manufacturing facility, Max Bögl is continuing to invest in the Emden site and securing approximately 120 jobs.

Stefan Bögl, CEO of the Max Bögl Group:

“By taking over wind tower production in Emden, we can significantly expand our own production capacities. This allows us to guarantee high and consistent product quality and ensure on-time delivery for our customers. We expect high demand for our tower system in the coming years and are thereby supporting the expansion of Renewables in Germany.”
