In contrast to its massive predecessor, the new railway bridge is a slender concrete construction. Max Bögl of Deutsche Bahn AG was commissioned with the realisation of the new Aurachtal bridge including the dismantling of the existing structure, the construction of a railway body with track systems in the new route as well as the associated overhead line work.
Filigree instead of bulky
Replacement of the Aurachtal bridge in Emskirchen. The new construction of the Aurachtal bridge with a span of 530 instead of 120 metres is one of the largest railway construction sites in Bavaria.
