The new PM7 paper machine with a working width of 10.60 metres will be the biggest machine for newsprint in Europe. The precast element division of the Max Bögl group of companies was commissioned for the delivery and installation of more than 10,500 precast parts, among them 5,050 precast parts with a total weight of 52,000 tonnes. Furthermore, 24,750 square metres of false ceilings, 20,250 square metres of filigree floors and 5,500 square metres of hollow walls with a total weight of another 11,000 tonnes were commissioned. The decisive factor for the contract award was, specifically, on-time completion and quality.


Large tunnel intersection for the new Lower Inn Valley railway: After one and a half years and 5.7 km of tunnelling between Münster and Wiesing the tunnelling shield reaches its destination - about six months earlier than expected. Thus "Otto" arrived in Wiesing. During the construction of the Münster-Wiesing tunnel, 2,875 tubbing rings or 23,000 tubbing segments with a weight of 14 tonnes were installed with a "tubbing erector".


Besides the construction of a data processing centre and a multi-storey car park, Max Bögl is also actively investing in the Sengenthal headquarters for the Steel Construction division. With the new development of the office building in the form a combi-office with an open plan interior design, the group of companies is making a modern working environment possible for its employees facilitating communication within project teams and departments.


New special field of Pipe Rehabilitation.
Moving away from new construction or the replacement of supply and disposal of pipelines by way of excavation towards renovation and rehabilitation of existing pipeline networks: That's the motto in modern pipeline and sewer construction. Where, years ago, rehabilitation and repair works were only possible with diggers and shovels, these days they are passé due to the use of trenchless techniques. An innovative tailor-made field for the new special field of "Pipe Rehabilitation" of the Max Bögl group of companies.


BREEAM certificate for Centrum-Galerie, Dresden.
The Centrum-Galerie shopping mall in Dresden holds BREEAM certification with an "Excellent" rating. The Centrum-Galerie is thus the first building in Germany and the first retail premises in Europe to receive the highest BREEAM certification rating.


With "seat-concrete" the Max Bögl group of companies achieves, in cooperation with the Berlin architects office aPLEX, a specialist incommunicative architecture in the automotive, energy, construction and property fields, a combination of innovative city architecture and current building material know-how at the highest level. The urban design of city furniture shows that concrete has not been just a building material for conventional architecture, but a 21st century design material. The proof that a material – newly interpreted - can define a new generation of city design was furnished at the beginning of June in Berlin. At the international DMY festival Max Bögl and aPLEX presented the "seating concrete" modular furniture system to a professional audience – with great success.


13 years have passed since the Munich citizens’ decision in 1996 to the inauguration of the tunnel. As part of the "Mittlerer Ring" – the "Bundesstraße" B2R – the 1.5 km long tunnel defuses one of the largest traffic hotspots. The Max Bögl group of companies, in a consortium, wins the contract for the tunnel shell construction from the building directorate of the state capital, Munich. In 2003, the first bored piles are installed for the Richard-Strauss tunnel, which is equipped with the most modern safety features. Alongside the Petuel tunnel, it is now the second one to be completed. Construction of the third tunnel under the Luise-Kieselbach square will start before the summer is out.

Following only two years of construction, the Frankfurt fair ground presents its new look with the inauguration of exhibition hall 11 and the portal house. Exhibition hall 11 will be inaugurated at the IAA with the exhibition presence of BMW.


Start of a new football era: With the first home match of the 2009-2010 season against 1899 Hoffenheim, the German national league club Bayer 04 Leverkusen returns to the converted BayArena on August 15th. The Max Bögl group of companies in a consortium with Köster AG is the general contractor for the implementation of the 70 million Euro project, according to the plans of the Düsseldorf architects office HPP Hentrich-Petschnigg & Partner is. Responsible for the Architectonic challenge: expansion of the stands from 22,500 to 30,210 spectators by way of an additional upper tier and a translucent stadium roof with a 217 m diameter.


With a total of 62,000 sqm, the Centrum Gallery is the largest inner-city retail centre in Dresden. There are 120 retail shops, gastronomic facilities and service providers over four floors. After three years of planning and construction, the Centrum Gallery is inaugurated on 17.09.2009.

In the field of mechanical engineering, the demand for larger and more precise components is growing. "High-strength concrete” offers a solution here. A new material with special qualities, it can be created using flexible formwork systems in any shape and reworked with µm–accuracy. To establish new alternatives for mechanical engineering in the form of "high-strength concrete" Max Bögl has, since the beginning of this year, been cooperating with the Reitz group of companies, a leading user of technical stone technology.

The Autodesk BIM Experience Award is presented to companies, universities and trainers in the construction industry worldwide who have helped to transform the industry using Building Information Modelling (BIM).


Max Bögl Group plans, constructs and operates in Neu-Ulm.
Using a Design & Build procedure, the Max Bögl Group can, after the arenas in Nürnberg and Varazdin, again argue for the construction and operation of a multi-function hall in the Neu-Ulm fair ground area. Commencement of construction for the new 6,000 capacity multi-function hall is in spring 2010. The completion is planned for the end of 2011.


"NeuerMarkt" City Quarter concept presented. The Max Bögl Group has acquired an inner-city fallow of 28,000 sqm in Neumarkt, Upper Palatinate, near the "Unteres Tor". Here, a city centre development is planned with a focus on retail. Max Bögl charges Multi Development of Duisburg with the project development, leasing and subsequent centre management.
