New Construction of the Stretch Beijing–Shanghai

During construction of the longest high speed railway stretch between China‘s most important metropolis Beijing and Shanghai, state of the art of travel path technology from Neumarkt has been used. Until the expected completion and first operation of the 1,318 km long railway line in 2011, 406,000 slab tracks and 238 high speed switches ballastless track system Bögl will be installed in 16 prefabrication works alongside the line at a distance of 1,268 km.

In September 2009 the Max Bögl Group had been awarded the order for planning consultancy services, supporting of supervising the production of grinding machines/slab tracks, consultancy services for initial operation of the grinding plants as well as for conducting training courses for Chinese skilled workers.

Divided into 6 construction lots a total of 162 km civil engineering, 1,140 km of bridge construction linesand 16 km of tunnel constructions have been performed, besides 21 railway stations on the largest construction site in the world. Designed for a plan ned speed of 350 km/h up to 380 km/h the trains should need less than five hours for the distance Beijing– Shanghai instead of the presently still required eleven hours.
